About 8 - Maa Bhramari Shakti Peeth
The Trisrota Temple, also known as Bhramari Devi Temple, is located on the banks of the Tista River in West Bengal. This Shakti Peeth is believed to have formed when Mata Sati’s left leg fell at this site. Devi Bhramari, a form of Adi Shakti, is revered here as the Goddess of Power and Strength. While the exact date of the temple's creation remains unknown, it is one of West Bengal’s most renowned Shakti Peeths.
According to the Puranas, when the Asura Arun drove the gods out of Swargaloka and tried to subjugate their wives, the goddesses prayed to Devi Adi Shakti for protection. The Goddess, in her Bhramari form (a giant bee), created a swarm of bees to defeat Arun, ultimately tearing him apart. As Bhramari Devi, the Goddess symbolizes protection and benevolence, safeguarding humanity. The temple is a prominent part of West Bengal’s Shaktipeeth Darshan Yatra.
त्रिस्रोता मंदिर, जिसे भ्रामरी देवी मंदिर भी कहा जाता है, पश्चिम बंगाल में तीस्ता नदी के तट पर स्थित है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि यह शक्ति पीठ तब बना जब माता सती का बायां पैर यहां गिरा। देवी भ्रामरी, जो आदिशक्ति का एक रूप हैं, यहां शक्ति और सामर्थ्य की देवी के रूप में पूजी जाती हैं। मंदिर का सटीक निर्माण समय अज्ञात है, लेकिन यह पश्चिम बंगाल के सबसे प्रसिद्ध शक्ति पीठों में से एक है।
पुराणों के अनुसार, असुर अरुण ने स्वर्गलोक पर कब्जा कर देवताओं को वहां से बाहर कर दिया और देवियों पर अधिकार करने की कोशिश की। देवियों ने अपनी रक्षा के लिए देवी आदिशक्ति से प्रार्थना की। देवी ने भंवरे (मधुमक्खी) का रूप धारण कर असुर अरुण पर मधुमक्खियों का झुंड छोड़ दिया, जिसने अरुण का वध कर दिया। भ्रामरी देवी मानवता की रक्षक और कल्याणकारी देवी के रूप में मानी जाती हैं। यह मंदिर पश्चिम बंगाल की प्रसिद्ध शक्ति पीठ दर्शन यात्रा का प्रमुख स्थल है।
