Bahula, also known as Bahuladevi, is a Hindu goddess worshipped mainly in West Bengal and Odisha. Her name means "the one with many arms," and she is associated with fertility, protection, and prosperity. She is believed to safeguard against illnesses, evil spirits, and cattle harm. Bahula Shakti Peeth is located 8 km from Bardhaman district in West Bengal, on the banks of the invincible river, where Mata Sati's left hand is believed to have fallen. According to legends, King Virasena built a temple for her, and she defeated the demon Bakasura to protect her devotees. Bahula is also revered as a manifestation of Kali, embodying both maternal and warrior-like qualities, granting blessings of harvest, progeny, and safety to her followers.
